Pinterest-spiration

I'm sure you've been on it.....Pinterest. It's addictive, pinning all that stuff to endless board....I admit I'm a little bit of an addict....with that being said, here are a few Pinterest inspired crafts that I've done over the past few months. (And if you want to see my Pinterest boards, or follow me, click here.)

Stand by to be amazed by my craftiness!

Umbrella Wreath

Made for my friends Luau themed bridal shower (he's a guy so not sure if you call it a "bridal shower'. Maybe a groom's shower?)

Supplies needed:

Grapevine wreath
Cocktail umbrella's
Hot Glue.

Now, according to the crafty directions on Pinterest, you should be able to stick the umbrellas in the wreath and voila, your done.
As usual, it's not that simple. It never really  is.
I applied some glue as I was putting the umbrella's in and they stayed, the biggest problem for me was storage.
I wish that I had a better picture but for some reason, I don't.

Beach Table Scape

This table scape was made for a luau themed bridal shower.

Candle Votives:

Bought from ACMoore, they were on sale at the time for 2 for $1.00. We used cardstock paper, cut out flowers using a paper punch and then applied modge podge to attach the flowers.
The candles are actually battery operated and completely reusable.

Flipflops:

Made using my Cricut and the Life's a Beach cartridge, we cut these out at size 6 using funky, fun colors.
After cutting the flip flops out, we punched holes in the middle using an exacto knife, strung the ribbon through and then secured it in the back. We then poked holes through the ribbon and applied the flowers (from Petaloo) using a heart brad (that I had in my stash). We then used hemp to hang these lovely flip flops.

Balloon Topiaries:

I can't take credit for these awesome things. They are made by my good friend, Kim. She can do any theme, any color, any height. She's an awesome, awe-inspiring woman who juggles three kids and various community commitments.

Super Crafty Kim also made these awesome trees.
